David Williams has picked up a hamstring injury in his club's 2-1 loss to Budapest Honved and is expected to miss the next month of football.
Williams has been a regular for his Hungarian side Haladas this season, scoring four goals in 13 appearances. The former Socceroo left Melbourne City to head to Europe in January.
He confirmed he had suffered a tear in hamstring in Saturday's defeat. Williams is expected to be sidelined for four to five weeks.
"I'll miss the next 4/5 games which will bring us to our mid-season break unfortunately," the 28-year old told FourFourTwo.
"I did the injury in the 40th minute. I probably should have had one more week rest instead of coming back early."
The Hungarian season has a winter break that lasts from December 11 to February 17. Haladas are currently fifth on the Nemzeti Bajnokság I table, eight points below league leaders Vasas.
