A club spokesman told au.fourfourtwo.com this morning that any talk of a done deal was premature but confirmed that Williams had landed in the west (Fury take on Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow night).

"All I can say at this stage is that he has flown in and we're having a look at him," he said.

If player and club decide they want to work together Williams would most likely be signed on a loan deal from current Danish club Bronby - at least initially.

Williams has endured a miserable time at the club in recent months and struggled for first team action. He vented his frustration and has just returned from a trial spell in South Africa with Bidvest Vits.

Following Williams' outburst against his club, coach Kent Nielsen responded in the Danish press. He said: "Generally, I have always said that football players must concentrate on what makes them better football players.

"I have more to say, but that will remain between David and I. Such things must certainly be handled internally.

"But in general, footballers must stick to what they are employed to do and it is the same in this case with David Williams."

Williams is contracted with Brondby until June 2011.
