A-League record hitman Bruno Fornaroli says he's targeting titles this season and not worrying about beating last year's meteoric goal tally.
In the new issue of FourFourTwo, Bruno admits topping last season's history-making haul of 28 strikes will be hard to beat, especially now that he'll be sharing goalscoring duties with Socceroos legend Tim Cahill.
But he says his first priority this year is taking out the Premiership, not chasing down his own record.
"I will always try to score more," he says in the A-League preview special of FourFourTwo, on sale now. "But I would prefer to win the league than score 25 or more goals.
"When I play, I play to win – and this year I want to win everything."
Fornaroli admits the club's weakness in defence cost them a chance of silverware last season, but feels confident they have addressed the issue for the coming campaign.
"When you receive too many goals like last season, it is difficult to win the league," he tells FourFourTwo.
"This season we need to have more balance and of course we need to continue to create opportunities in front to win games.
"I think the club has looked much and picked the right players. The new signings are fantastic."
