The winter break in the Bundesliga has been cut to three-and-a-half weeks from next season.
The first half of the 2009/10 campaign will finish on December 21 and the second half will start on January 15, the German FA revealed today.
This season's winter break is due to begin from December 14 and not end until January 30.
The start of next season has been brought forward to the weekend of August 7 to 10, while the last matchday will be May 8.
