It's only one nail-biting day till the world begins a show stopping party for the ages. Group E's Brazil. Serbia, Costa Rica and Switzerland have had time to get their juices flowing with training camps and international friendlies. So how does their form stack up on the eve of the World Cup?

In the lead up to the tournament Mladen Krastajic has prepped his team to face Morocco, Nigeria, Chile and Bolivia.
Back in March Serbia played group B competitors Morocco and were defeated 2-1 by the World Cup newcomers. Hakim Ziyech scored from the spot early before Dusan Tadic equalised eight minutes later.
Only three minutes later, poor central defensive positioning allowed Ziyech to cross to the back post for Khalif Boutaïb to head home the eventual winner in the 40th minute.

The Eagles worked on their shape and bounced back to Victory against Nigeria to close out the march friendlies, keeping a clean sheet in the process in a 2-0 victory. 23-year old striker Aleksander Mitrovic nabbed a brace against the Super Eagles as he emerged as Krastajic's first choice frontman.
Before travelling to the Kaliningrad region of Svetlogorsk for their World Cup camp, two more opponents were to collide with Serbia. The Eagles ended March with some optimism but a 1-nil loss to Chile with moments to go dented the morale of the squad come June.
However, in true Serbian unpredictability, they bounced back against Bolivia slamming the South Americans 5-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Mitrovic.
Branislav Ivanovic equalled the all-time appearance record for Serbia with his 103rd against Bolivia and capped it off with a goal.
Serbia's first group match is against Costa Rica on Sunday 17th June.

TIte's Brazil were always going to have their name thrown into mix for at least a semi-final spot and their pre-World Cup form is indicating a red hot Seleção come the start of the tournament.
They began in March with a match against the tournament hosts Russia, comfortably dealing with the shoddy MC's 3-0 thanks to a 13 minute triple salvo in the second half.

Just days later more confidence was built as Brazil vanquished some ghosts from the past with a 1-0 friendly win over Germany. Youngster Gabriel Jesus scored the winning goal with a close range header in the first half.
The March friendlies were positive but storm clouds still loomed over the Brazil camp with superstar Neymar still uncertain over his fitness for the World Cup after a metatarsal fracture whilst at Paris Saint-Germain.
All worries were washed away when his recovery accelerated and was named in the World Cup squad back in May and was set to play in the month of the tournament. Brazil travelled to Anfield to face Croatia as Neymar was on the scoresheet in a 2-0 win.
They finished off their World Cup preparations against Austria, keeping another clean sheet in a 3-nil win as Tite's extremely fluid attacking philosophy reigned supreme.
Brazil's first match is their most important against Switzerland on Monday 18th June. Tite would be looking to make a statement with plenty of goals to open the tournament.
Costa Rica
2018 record: 2W 0D 3L
Costa Rica manager Oscar Ramirez opted for some puzzling sides to face in 2018 in preparation for the tournament. Los Ticos went on a UK tour facing Scotland, Northern Ireland and England, amongst Tunisia and Belgium friendlies.
Costa Rica travelled to Hampden Park and kicked off the March friendlies with a 1-nil victory over Scotland. The same result ensued against Tunisia, although Wahbi Khazri for The Carthage Eagles stole a 1-nil win.
Mixed emotions following March gave Los Ticos purpose heading into the month of the World Cup where they faced Northern Ireland.
A 3-nil victory lifted the morale of the squad as Joel Campbell, Johan Venegas and Francisco Calvo gave Los Ticos some confidence heading into their tough challenge against England.

It was never going to be easy travelling to Wembley and a 2-nil loss brought Costa Rica back down to earth. With one last chance to prove their worth before the World Cup, beating a tournament favourite in Belgium was a perfect opportunity.
Bryan Ruiz opened the scoring but a Lukaku brace ended any chance of Costa Rica finding a result as they lost 4-1.
Costa Rica play Serbia first on Sunday 17th June but their most important game will be the last against Switzerland on June 27th.
Switzerland
2018 Record: 3W 1D 0L
As well as Brazi, Switzerland are looking the goods heading into the tournament with four extremely positive performances before the World Cup. Vladimir Petkovic's side have tested the motors against Greece, Panama, Japan and 2010 World Champions Spain.
They passed their first test in Athens, defeating Greece 1-nil thanks to Blerim Džemaili's effort just before the hour mark.
They backed it up with a 6-nil thumping of Group G's Panama with six different scorers rounding out a shellacking that exhibited Switzerland's ability to dominate a match putting four goals past the North Americans before half-time.
They showed persistence, poise and a scary ability to finish their chances.

A spectacular 1-all draw against Spain showed Switzerland was on the path to a rampant World Cup as they backed up yet another good result with a 2-nil victory over Japan.
Breel Embolo and Xerdan Shaqiri showed what they were made of with man of the match performances against Spain and Japan.
Switzerland's first match is against Brazil on Monday June 18 but their match against Serbia will be a fight to the death for second spot.
