The 26-year-old was linked with a £9million return to Eastlands after reports suggested that he would barely figure in Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari's plans this season.

Wright-Phillips is also believed to interesting Everton boss David Moyes who has had a quiet time in the transfer market this summer and is desperate to add to his squad with transfer deadline imminent.

Manchester City boss Mark Hughes admitted he would also like to bring new players in and said today that he was in discussions with several clubs about potential new signings.

But Wright Phillips has no desire to join either Premier League club, according to his agent Wayne Lindsay.

"He (Wright Phillips) doesn't want to join either of them and we are now discussing the next move to see what we do," Lindsay told www.skysports.com.

"Because of all the problems there (City) and the uncertainty surrounding the place he is unsure.

"He is speaking with the manager (Scolari) at the moment but he is settled in London. He would like to stay and that's the bottom line but it is up to the manager.

"We are looking at all the options really at this moment in time so I can't really say much more."
