Spain midfielder Xavi has hailed his team's display following their 4-0 victory against the Republic of Ireland on Thursday.
The European champions bounced back from the 1-1 draw in their Euro 2012 opener against Italy on Sunday and cruised to a comfortable victory against Ireland to move to the top of Group C.
"We played well and this match will help to build up the confidence in the team," Xavi said.
"We are happy with this result. We were at an excellent level today, and a great Spain was seen.
"We only depend on ourselves now, which is the most important thing. A victory against Croatia will see us progress as the first-placed team in the group, but the draw could also be enough."
Xavi attempted a European Championship record 136 passes in the win over Ireland, completing 127.
