ENGLISH Championship promotion hopefuls Reading FC have signed Australian youth international brothers Cameron and Ryan Edwards.
Cameron is a 19-year-old central midfielder who has previously been involved at Perth Glory, while Ryan is two years his younger and has spent time at the AIS.
The brothers are sons of former Australia international and Perth Glory striker Alistair Edwards who is currently the assistant coach of the Young Socceroos.
Reading director of football Nick Hammond told readingfc.co.uk the pair had impressed during a recent trial.
"Cameron and Ryan have spent some weeks trialling with us following a recommendation from my former Reading teammate Andy Bernal,” Hammond said.
“These are two bright talents and have a great pedigree as their father Alistair is also a former Australian international."
The teenage duo are set to link up with Reading in July for pre-season training.
