The Young Matildas have got off to the perfect start in the AFC U19 Women’s Championship with a solid 2-0 win over Korea Republic on Monday.
Both goals came in the second half courtesy of Sydney FC W-League duo Remy Siemsen and Princess Ibini.
Siemsen opened the scoring on 70 minutes before Ibini ensured all three points with a strike deep in stoppage time (90+4').

The top three teams in the eight-team tournament will advance to the 2018 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in France.
Next up for the Young Matildas in Group B is Japan (Thursday) followed by Vietnam (Sunday).
