AUSTRALIA'S quest for glory at the Under 20 World Cup in Egypt will be televised with SBS confirming today that all matches featuring Jan Versleijen's men will be broadcast live.
Interest is really building in the tournament with the Aussie youngsters flying out from Sydney today for a warm up tournament in Argentina.
Australia will play Czech Republic, Costa Rica and Brazil at the group stage of the competition, which kicks off in September.
The Under 20 World Cup is a huge event in the world footballing calendar and had helped propel numerous players to stardom over the years.
Australians who have tasted the tournament and gone on to enjoy tremendous careers include Mark Viduka, Lucas Neill, Jason Culina and Mark Bresciano.
Coach Versleijen is looking forward to the tournament with confidence. He says there is a desire to progress beyond the group stage: "That's really our expectations, to get to the next round. It's not easy but you can expect some fireworks."
SBS will be broadcasting all Australia matches, the semi finals, play-off for 3rd and 4th plus the final. This is the schedule, excluding the round of 16 matches and quarter-finals as it is dependent on Australia's results.
