A-League new boys Western United have snapped up three young Australian prospects ahead of their debut season.
Sebastian Pasquali, Apostolos Stamatelopoulos and Dylan Pierias will join confirmed signings Panagiotis Kone, Josh Risdon, Aaron Calver and Connor Chapman in Melbourne when their pre-season kicks off in the western suburbs.
Pasquali, 19, first caught the eye of European coaches after an impressive outing for Melbourne Victory against Juventus in the International Champions Cup, later signing with Ajax and making his debut for Young Ajax in January 2018.
Versatile defender Pierias, 19 has national experience at the under 20 level and started his football journey at Melbourne's Keilor Park Soccer Club.
Stamatelopoulos, 19, is yet another up front attacking option for WUFC having already made an impact at Adelaide United since making his debut in September 2017.
WUFC assistant coach John Hutchinson said, “We are delighted to have captured three of Australian football’s brightest talents. John [Anastasiadis] and I have been united in our assessment of Seb, Stama and Dylan.
“In Seb’s case, already being part of European football’s greatest school in Ajax, we are excited to have Seb bringing his learnings and to push through to playing first team football and continuing his rise.
“Stama is a very exciting forward who has already tasted A-League football so we believe he will develop into a mainstay of our attacking third for many seasons to come.
“And in Dylan we see a player who can slot into anywhere on right side of the pitch so versatility is a trait we want in all our players”.
