Sydney are looking to play themselves back into form this weekend and keep their Premiership hopes alive when they face struggling Brisbane Roar on Friday night.

Although they are second on the ladder, Sydney are nine points behind table-toppers Perth Glory and the Asian Champions League travel upset their flow of form, with two losses and a draw from their last five games.

"The ACL is kind of a different kettle of fish," said Zullo. "In a lot of ways I think the type of football and the gameplan when you go into those games is very different from an A-League game.

"The style of football is completely different. So it's hard to to apply what what happened in the ACL to A-League games."

With just five games left in the home and away season, Sydney now cannot afford to drop a single point if they want to keep the pressure on Perth – and that will need them to be more clinical in front of goal.

With a week off for the international break, the side has been busy on the training field to toughen up their attack after the disappointing 2-0 loss at home to Melbourne City 10 days ago.

"Looking back at that game, I think we had the chances there and and the position and domination to win the game," said Zullo today.

"We just needed to take them and I think that's been something that we've focused on.

"Some of our players have provided so much for us over the last few years, and this year Adam Le Fondre has been fantastic - he's up for the Golden Boot. Milos Ninkovic has been a Johnny Warren Medalist.

"Obviously we've had our marquee Siem de Jong out for a while so getting him back into the squad an Danny de Silva as well is a big boost for us.

"That's definitely going to help get us back to scoring freely."

He added: "Danny a is a really bright young talent and wick provide some quality as well as some class on the ball.

"Going forward, we're going to have a lot of options which is great. I'm really looking forward to seeing the team gel."
