Zullo will be one of the senior figures in the Come Play XI to take on Muscat and his Victory colleagues at AAMI Park.

The Utrecht-bound speedster was delighted to accept an invitation to play in the game as he bids to retain fitness ahead of his move to the Netherlands.

"I'm really looking forward to taking part and to play in a new stadium is pretty cool," Zullo told au.fourfourtwo.com today.

"There are a lot of really young guys in this side and yeah, it's a change to be one of the older heads.

"Working with Jan Versleijen is another good thing about being involved."

Zullo's World Cup hopes were dashed this week when Pim Verbeek announced his initial squad for South Africa but the former Roar man said he hadn't really expected to feature - much as he would have loved to.

"To be honest, I was always pretty much looking to the next World Cup, " he said. "Hopefully I can continue to make progress, do well and that your chance comes. I was very happy for Tommy (Oar) though."

The immediate focus is Muscat's match tomorrow and Zullo feels it is right that the veteran's contribution is acknowledged.

"Kevin has been a good servant to Australian football and to Melbourne Victory. I'm looking forward to being part of the occasion," he said.

However, he just hopes that the ever competitive Muscat will save the strong tackles for someone else.

Zullo joked: "Hopefully I'll manage to avoid those. No, it should be a good night."
