"We're planning to deploy 277 medical staff, who are in the principal staff, and we also have 48 people in the supporting staff," Fatikhov told journalists adding that all staff members have already worked at major sports tournaments.

Fatikhov also said that the medics will be accompanied by English-speaking volunteers who will help them if foreign supporters require assistance.

The FIFA World Cup will be held in 11 cities across Russia from June 14 till July 15. The 45,000-seater Kazan Arena is set to host six matches, including one round of 16 game and a quarter-final.
