Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel congratulated the national team on their third place at the 2018 World Cup on Saturday via Twitter.
Belgium beat England 2-0 in the third place play-off in St. Petersburg earlier on Saturday, which is their best ever result at a World Cup. They had previously finished fourth at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.
"Thank you for all these good moments️! Bravo Red Devils for your third place. Well done!" Michel wrote on his Twitter account.
