Uruguay forward Edinson Cavani was not included in the team's starting line-up for their quarter-final match against France at the World Cup, FIFA said on its website on Friday.
Cavani was injured during his side's 2-1 win over Portugal in the round of 16 on Sunday (AEST).
The game will take place at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium at 12am Saturday (AEST).
Uruguay's starting XI:
Goalkeeper: Fernando Muslera;
Defenders: Jose Maria Gimenez, Diego Godin, Martin Caceres;
Midfielders: Diego Laxalt, Nahitan Nandez, Lucas Torreira, Rodrigo Bentancur, Matias Vecino;
Forwards: Luis Suarez, Cristhian Stuani.
