Football fans are welcome to visit Crimea during this summer’s FIFA World Cup, Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said on Tuesday.
"Let them [football fans] come. We will be happy to see people coming to Crimea for vacations. Football, entertainment, tourism – let them come, but don't misbehave," Aksyonov told journalists.
The Australian government classifies Crimea as an official Do Not Travel zone, its highest threat classification, and on a par with Syria.
