France defender Samuel Umtiti scored the opening goal in the 8th minute, and the team’s forward Antoine Griezmann performed a penalty in the 29th minute.

Italy defender Leonardo Bonucci then scored the first and only goal for his team in the 36th minute, with France strengthening their lead in the second half of the game with a goal by Ousmane Dembele in the 63rd minute.

Russia will host the 2018 FIFA World Cup from June 14 to July 15, with the games set to be held in 11 cities across the country. Italy failed to qualify for the World Cup, while France will face Australia, Peru and Denmark in Group C.
