Hubert Wirth, a 70-year-old German football fan, has arrived in Moscow for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on a prewar tractor, according to Moscow's parking management company.
"German football fan, 70-year-old Hubert Wirth has arrived in Russia. The retiree and his dog traveled [to Russia] from Germany in a tractor that was produced during the prewar era," the company said in a statement published on its official website.
According to the company, Wirth will stay at a camping site and go to the stadiums hosting World Cup matches by bicycle, which he took with him.
Wirth, who has been traveling across Europe for a month, plans to drive further to St. Petersburg, where he will attend a knockout-stage match before returning home.
