Germany finished their World Cup preparations with a narrow but welcome win after they defeated Saudi Arabia 2-1 in a friendly in Leverkusen on Friday.
Germany forward Timo Werner opened the scoring in the 8th minute, while Saudi Arabia defender Omar Hawsawi netted an own goal two minutes before halftime to put Germany 2-0 ahead.
Midfielder Taisir Al-Jassim struck a consolation for the visitors with six minutes remaining.
