The French embassy in Moscow has confirmed that French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife will attend Monday morning's World Cup final in Moscow.
"We can confirm the visit, madame Macron will also come," an embassy employee said.
The source did not say if Macron would meet Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the French president is expected to meet with Putin in the Russian capital.
Macron attended France's 1-0 win over Belgium in the semi-finals at the St. Petersburg Stadium on Wednesday, and congratulated Didier Deschamps' victorious team in the dressing room after the match.
