Adam Nawalka has announced his resignation as Poland head coach after his side failed to get past the group stage at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Poland were knocked out of the tournament after losing both their opening matches, to Senegal and Colombia. They beat Japan 1-0 in their final game but still finished bottom of Group H.
"I have taken such a decision with full responsibility. The time has come for someone else to coach Poland," he told journalists.
The 60-year-old added that he was going to have some time off before deciding on his future plans.
Nawalka took charge of Poland in 2013 and coached the team in a total of 50 matches.
