Polish football fans, who came to Russia for the World Cup, are speaking positively of the country, while they are enjoying the tournament's atmosphere, Polish football agent Mariusz Piekarski told Sputnik on Tuesday.
"Polish fans are walking around Moscow and other cities and they feel good everywhere. My friends say that people in Russia are very good, they like everything. The World Cup unites people, they want to walk, laugh, watch some good football. Russia has very nice stadiums, Russia is hosting the tournament very well," Piekarski said.
The agent added that people and politics should not mix.
"Poles and Russians are Slavic peoples, we are friends, we can not mix people and politics, all problems are rooted in it [politics]," he said.
Piekarski also noted that Poland have a strong squad.
"I am sure that everything will be good with our team at the World Cup," he said.
Poland played Senegal in their first match at this summer's tournament, and will later face their other two Group H opponents, Colombia and Japan.
