MOSCOW, June 1 (Sputnik) - Serbia head coach Mladen Krstajic named his final 23-man squad on Friday for this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The squad, which was published on the official website of the Football Association of Serbia, includes Zenit St. Petersburg defender Branislav Ivanovic and Krasnodar defender Uros Spajic.
Goalkeeper Aleksandar Jovanovic, injured defender Matija Nastasic and midfielders Mijat Gacinovic and Nemanja Maksimovic were all left out of the final party to travel to Russia.
Serbia will play two friendlies in the Austrian city of Graz ahead of the World Cup, the first against Chile on June 4 and the second against Bolivia five days later.
The final Serbia squad includes:
Goalkeepers: Vladimir Stojkovic, Marko Dmitrovic, Predrag Rajkovic;
Defenders: Antonio Rukavina, Aleksandar Kolarov, Milan Rodic, Branislav Ivanovic, Uros Spajic, Dusko Tosic, Milos Veljkovic, Nikola Milenkovic;
Midfielders: Luka Milivojevic, Nemanja Matic, Marko Grujic, Adem Ljajic, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Dusan Tadic, Filip Kostic, Andrija Zivkovic, Nemanja Radonjic;
Forwards: Aleksandar Mitrovic, Aleksandar Prijovic, Luka Jovic.
The FIFA World Cup will be held in Russia from June 14 till July 15, with Serbia set to face five-time champions Brazil, Switzerland and Costa Rica in Group E.
