It is still too early for Colombia to celebrate their performance at the World Cup despite them having made it into the round of 16, Colombia midfielder Juan Quintero said on Thursday.
Colombia defeated Senegal 1-0, securing their qualification for the knockout stage.
“It is too early to celebrate, we need to think about the next game we still haven’t won anything. We all hope that our team will be successful at this tournament,” Quintero said after the game, adding that Senegal were not easy opponents to beat.
In the round of 16, Colombia will face England on Tuesday.
