KIEV, June 6 (Sputnik) - The Committee for Freedom of Speech and Information Policy of Ukraine's unicameral parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, has recommended to prohibit broadcasts of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Russia this summer, in the country, the committee's deputy chair Olga Chervakova said Wednesday.
"The committee has backed the draft resolution on prohibiting the television channels to broadcast the FIFA World Cup," Chervakov posted on Facebook.
