Belgium defender Thomas Vermaelen said on Wednesday that his side Belgium are not one of the favorites to win the World Cup and on the contrary "outsiders who are capable of winning".
"Of course we are not favorites at this tournament. We always thought of ourselves as outsiders. So far we showed a good result. We need to go from one match to another. I am not surprised of how England are playing at the World Cup, I was expecting them to perform well and advance far in the tournament. It's clear that both teams have qualified for the knockout stage, but anyone, who steps onto a pitch, desires to win," Vermaelen said.
He added that for the moment he is in the excellent shape and sees no reason for retirement.
Belgium will take on England in their final Group G game. Both teams advance to the knockout stage and will fight for the first place in the group.
