The Group G leaders just have to avoid defeat by more than one goal in South Korea to qualify for the last eight but will be without influential striker Li Jinyu and China keeper Li Leilei, who are suspended for the clash at the Tancheon Sports Complex, and long-term casualty Wang Yonpo, who is ruled out with a broken foot.

"We could make a lot of excuses for losing because Li Jinyu and Li Leilei can't play, while Wang Yongpo is injured," said Tumbakovic.

"But the South Koreans are not unbeatable. We should try to accomplish our goal by whatever means.

"But we want to qualify and I believe our AFC Champions League campaign won't be over after the game."

Lu Zheng is likely to replace Wang in the starting line-up while Yang Cheng will take over in goal.

The 23-year-old Lu has two goals to his name in the China Super League this season but it is Yang who perhaps has the more crucial role in keeping the hosts at bay.

"I don't feel any pressure," said Yang.

"I am still in good form through training hard even though I have been a substitute."

Seongnam need to win by two clear goals in the final game to go through as victory will leave them tied on points with their opponents at the top of the group.

And the seven-time K-League champions are in great form, having not lost in 18 league games to sit six points clear at the top of the domestic standings.

Their latest victory was an impressive 2-0 win at Incheon United, where striker Mota scored his sixth and seventh goals of the season, and the Brazilian will carry the main goal threat on Wednesday.

"We know what we have to do," Seongnam coach Kim Hak-bom said. "We have to win by at least two goals.

"I won't be giving the players any special instructions or use any special tactics.

"I don't want them to feel burdened by the goal issue. We always try to win whenever we play and Wednesday will be no different.

"We just need to do what we have been doing."

Seongnam lost the first encounter in Jinan 2-1 on Matchday Two that left them five points behind their Chinese rivals.

However, Adelaide United held the group leaders to a 2-2 draw in China two weeks ago, while Choi Sung-guk scored a vital winner to give the 2004 runners-up a 2-1 win over Dong Tam Long An in Vietnam to revive their hopes.

And Choi is confident Seongnam can pull off an unlikely victory.

"We played quite well but lost in Shandong," he said.

"However, we are playing at home and we have a great chance to win. We are playing well and we are full of confidence and I think we will advance to the last eight."

Seongnam's star midfielder Kim Doo-hyun, who hasn't yet managed to shine on the continental stage, added: "We will get the two goals by playing attacking football.

"We are the K-League champions and want to play in such a manner."

Shandong are expected to have a substantial following in the Tancheon Stadium and were given the weekend off by the Chinese Super League in order to prepare for the game.
