A superb free kick from Haider Sabar rescued a point for Al Zawra'a with a 1-1 draw with Al Wahda in their AFC Champions League Group A clash at Al Nahyan Stadium.
Sabah scored a deserved equaliser with 15 minutes remaining to cancel out Abdulraheem Jumaa's opening goal early in the second half.
The result still leaves the Abu Dhabi club clear at the top of the group on 10 points, while Al Zawra'a move onto five.
Al Wahda came into the game on the back of three successive wins and a fourth could have sealed a quarter-final place with two games left in the group.
But it was the away side who nearly took the lead when Ahmed Ibrahim's header from a corner crashed against a post in the fourth minute.
Al Wahda went just as close 20 minutes later, Jumaa's fierce long-range effort rebounding off an upright, but it was not until after the break that the dealock was broken.
The impressive Jumaa put the home side ahead on 57 minutes, trading passes with substitute Abdulla Al Noobi before firing home.
And Al Wahda appeared to be heading towards qualification until Sabah struck from 30 yards to level the scores.
