It was Dong Tam's second loss in a week after losing 2-0 at home to Adelaide United in the Asian Champions League on Wednesday.

Nigerian striker Uzo Wuru Amaobi gave hosts Binh Duong a second-minute lead in the top-of-the-table clash, but Nguyen Viet Thang levelled in the 26th minute.

Congolese striker Kabanga Tshamala then netted a brace in the 49th and 75th minutes to make it 3-1 to Dong Tam, seemingly securing all three points for the champions.

But Amaobi had other ideas, narrowing the deficit with his second of the game just a minute later before Brazilian Kesley Alves levelled the scores in the 81st minute.

Amaobi then completed the comeback, rounding off his hat-trick seven minutes from time to give his side an unlikely win and moving them ahead of Dong Tam and Hoang Anh Gia Lai, who had claimed top spot for 24 hours with a 1-0 win at newly-promoted Huda Hue on Saturday.

In Sunday's only other V-League match, Can Sai Gon moved off the foot of the table after picking up their first points of the season with a 2-0 win against Vietnam National Cup holders Hoa Phat Ha Noi.

Brazilian striker Elenildo de Jesus scored both of the goals in the second half.
