Coach Osvaldo Gimenez Toledo has promised his injury-hit Shanghai Shenhua side will give their all in the quest for a first victory in this season's AFC Champions League.
Shenhua will face Indonesian side Persik Kediri in their meaningless Group E clash at the Yuanshen Stadium without a number of first-choice players, including defender Li Weifeng and playmaker Yu Tao.
Gimenez's side are bottom of the group with only two points from five games but the Uruguayan is hoping they can finish their campaign on a high.
"We will fight for our dignity," he said.
"We need a victory to wrap up this year's competition and more importantly, we need to overcome the Indonesian side to win respect.
"This is the last chance for us to redeem ourselves in this year's continental games.
"Though it is a meaningless game, we should show our best form at home."
Persik, who drew 3-3 with group leaders Urawa Red Diamonds last time out, will be missing three key players for the trip to China as Budi Sudarsono and the Uruguayan duo of striker Christian Gonzalez and midfielder Ronald Fagundez are all suspended.
Persik can draw level on points with Urawa if the Japanese side's game with Sydney ends in a draw, but would still lose out because of an inferior head-to-head record.
Nevertheless, an encouraging campaign for Daniel Roekito's side has brought two victories and also proved that Indonesian sides can contend on the continental stage.
"The most important thing is that Indonesian football is able to compete at this level and that we are no longer considered whipping boys," he said.
"We now can aim as high as the other teams from far more established football countries.
"All credit to the players throughout this tournament, they have produced a series of memorable performances.
"They have not only made me proud but also the entire nation."
And Roekito is confident of completing an AFC Champions League double over the Chinese side.
"Shenhua are not a weak team, especially playing at home, but I think we have what it takes to beat them."
