Oita took an early lead through Japan forward Daiki Takamatsu, who blasted the home side ahead in the 12th minute.

Reds, however, levelled the score in the 31st minute when an unmarked Yuki Abe turned Shinji Ono's corner into the net.

The Japan midfielder then grabbed his second of the game five minutes later, shaking off his marker before heading home a Ponte corner at the near post.

It was the sixth goal in five matches for Abe against Oita, who scored four times against the Kyushu side while playing for JEF United Chiba in the past two seasons.

Roared on by a crowd of 27,163, Oita rallied in the second half with Takamatsu, midfielder Yoshiaki Fujita and substitute Teppei Nishiyama all threatening.

The pressure finally paid off in the dying minutes as Fukaya headed home a Yuichi Nemoto free-kick to earn the hosts a deserved point.

In Yokohama, Nagoya Grampus Eight maintained their perfect record by coming from behind to defeat Yokohama FC for their fourth straight win.

Grampus suffered a setback after only 10 minutes when former Japan goalkeeper Seigo Narazaki was stretchered off after colliding with an opponent.

After a scoreless first half, Yokohama went ahead in the 63rd minute when forward Hiroaki Namba slotted home a loose ball following a corner to become the first player to breach the Nagoya defence this season.

The visitors didn't take long to respond though as Keita Sugimoto headed in Takahiro Masuda's cross from the left in the 65th minute to level the score.

Two minutes later, Nagoya went ahead when Kei Yamaguchi's blast flew past Yokohama goalkeeper Takanori Sugeno, who was wrong-footed as he expected the ball to be played in to Norwegian forward Frode Johnsen.

Nagoya lead the table on goal difference from Gamba Osaka, who maintained their perfect record with a 2-1 win at Ventforet Kofu on Saturday.
