The Japanese side finally got off the mark in the J. League at the weekend with a 3-1 win over Omiya Ardija - their first victory in six games.

Gamba are second in Group G of the Asian Champions League and a point at Expo '70 Stadium tomorrow will be enough to see them through to the knockout stage.

"We should find good momentum and this can be a good occasion for our new players to show what they can do for us," said Nishino.

"I want to start the players who can fight hard and all of us should be united to get the result we need.

"I understand the situation, that one point is enough but our opponents won't let us play for a draw, so we should play for more points."

Suwon, meanwhile, are already through to the next stage as the South Koreans currently sit at the top of the standings with 10 points, eight ahead of third-placed Henan Jianye and coach Cha Bum-kun has now set his sights on going all the way to the final.

"This is our third attempt and we would love to win the tournament," he said.

"It will be a tough game but we want to win it and play the Round of 16 game at home."

Meanwhile, Chinese side Henan know they need to pick up a first win of the tournament against Singapore Armed Forces if they are to keep alive their slim hopes of reaching the knockout stages.

Henan have managed just two points from four games so far and need to win their two remaining games while hoping Gamba lose theirs.

"The match will be difficult," said coach Tang Yaodong.

"There is still some hope of qualification but we will need 100% hard work on our part."

With his side's chance of progressing over, SAF coach Richard Bok is eager for the Singaporeans to finish their campaign as strongly as possible.

"We have two opportunities to improve on last year's points tally," he said.

"Henan are tough opposition and it is important that we play with pride and give a good performance."
