Kuruvchi put themselves top of Asian Champions League Group A on goal difference with a 2-0 victory over Al Ittihad Aleppo of Syria on Wednesday.
Goals from Jasur Hasanov and Timur Kapadze in the second half were enough to seal the Uzbekistani side's second consecutive win of the pool.
The visitors controlled the game early on but allowed their hosts to come back at them 12 minutes into the game when Jonathan Perez forced the first save of the night with a header from Abdulfatah Al Agha's cross.
Three minutes later Al Ittihad Aleppo had another go, but Cameroonian striker Otobong Ene Edet headed Bakri Tarrab's cross just over.
As the half wore on Kuruvchi came back into the game but still failed to work the home goalkeeper. Kapadze twice shot wide while Gochguly Gochguliyev also had a chance that missed the target, before Victor Karpenko forced Al Ittihad goalkeeper Mahmoud Karkar into his first save fo the night just before the break.
Then four minutes after the restart Kuruvchi went in front when Hasanov capitalised on a mistake by Omar Hamidi to open the scoring.
Then after 64 minutes Kapadze made it two when he fired into an empty net after collecting Karpenko's blocked shot.
The hosts never responded, and Kuruvchi nearly bagged a third with 12 minutes to play when Karpenko hit the crossbar from long range.
