Haider Sabbah gave winless Arbil the lead in the 19th minute, but Pakhtakor went into the break on level terms after defender Salah Siamend deflected in Darko Markovic's corner.

And the hosts turned the match around in the second half, scoring four times in 21 minutes as well as missing a last-gasp penalty to comfortably defeat Arbil and take their points total to seven from four games.

Arbil took the lead at the Prince Mohammad Stadium thanks to Sabbah's powerful free-kick which took a wicked deflection off the Pakhtakor wall to deceive goalkeeper Ignatiy Nesterov.

And the Iraqi side almost doubled their lead when Ahmed Salah saw a shot cleared off the line by Akmal Holmatov.

But Pakhtakor equalised seven minutes before the break when the hapless Siamend turned into his own net.

Aril should have restored their advantage shortly after the hour mark but Luay Salah's effort crashed off the Pakhtakor crossbar after good work from Dara Mohammed.

But it was Pakhtakor who took the lead as substitute Nodirbek Kuziboyev, who had only been on the pitch for 10 minutes, blasted into the top corner from the edge of the area in the 69th minute.

And the hosts doubled their lead four minutes later as Zaynitdin Tadjiyev threaded a ball through to Markovic in the area who firing a first-time shot past Arbil goalkeeper Dydar Hamed.

Alexander Geynrikh added a spectacular fourth with nine minutes to go with a bicycle kick from just inside the area that left Hamed stranded.

And the substitute striker should have scored a second when Pakhtakor were awarded a penalty in the last minute, but Hamed dived smartly to his left to keep it out.

However, Pakhtakor did grab a fifth in the third minute of injury time when Holmatov curled home a free-kick seconds before the final whistle.
