V-League outfit Nam Dinh will be forced to play their Asian Champions League home matches away from their Thien Truong Stadium home to remain in the continental competition.
Asian Football Confederation (AFC) guidelines for the 2008 edition of the tournament require the participating clubs' home stadium be located less than 100km from the nearest airport, while five-star accommodations for the organisers during the event.
Nam Dinh is located 90km outside the capital Ha Noi but crucially 120 km from Noi Bai - the nearest airport - and an AFC spokesman has confirmed to PA Sport Nam Dinh have been asked to play their home games in Group F at the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi which was used in July's AFC Asian Cup.
V-League champions Binh Duong are conveniently located 30km from Ho Chi Minh City and Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
Vietnamese Cup champions Nam Dinh are set to entertain Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan in the first round of fixtures on March 12, while Thailand'sKrung Thai Bank and Japanese champions Kashima Antlers will also travel to Vietnam.
