Ahmad Jamshidian scored twice as the Iranians ran riot at Foolad Shahr Stadium to go top of the table following a second consecutive victory.

The hosts took the lead after three minutes when Jamshidian headed home Omid Ebrahimi's cross and he doubled his and his side's tally in the 24th minute with a powerful strike.

Bare pulled a goal back for Al Jazira in the 53rd minute when the Brazilian met Saleh Obaid's cross but Jamshidian created the third for Ibrahima Toure before further goals from Janjus Milorad and Javad Kazemian completed the scoring.

In the group's other game, Christian Wilhelmsson's close-range finish in the first half saw Al Hilal win 1-0 at Al Gharafa.

Tianjin Teda and FC Seoul also have six points after both recorded victories.

Tianjin edged out Japanese side Gamba Osaka 2-1 at home in Group E thanks to Cao Yang's second-half penalty while FC Seoul outclassed Hangzhou Greentown 3-0 in Group F. Two spectacular strikes from Oh Kyung-jun added to Dejan Damjanovic's early goal.

Also in Group E, Melbourne Victory suffered a second consecutive defeat as they relinquished a one-goal lead to Jeju United at Etihad Stadium.

Danny Allsopp had broken the deadlock with the help of a slight deflection after 37 minutes but Park Hyun-bem drew the visitors level four minutes later before Lee Hyun-ho's clinical finish six minutes from time meant caretaker Victory coach Mehmet Durakovic's reign got off to a disappointing start.

Finally, Al Nassr came from a goal down to edge out Esteghlal 2-1 in a Group B clash at King Fahd International Stadium.

Soheil Omranzadeh had headed Esteghlal into a first-half lead but a viciously dipping strike from Omar Sulamani brought the home side back onto level terms before Saad Al Haarthi's sublime free-kick clinched the points with 10 minutes to go.
