It is the first time Adelaide United has had a front of shirt sponsor since the end of the 2009/10 season.

“Adelaide United are delighted to have an iconic brand such as Coopers joining us as our front of shirt sponsor for the rest of the season,” Reds Chairman Greg Griffin said.

“Coopers is a great South Australian company and to have their brand on the front of our shirt is great news not only for our fans but also the Hyundai A-League competition, which is now able to attract sponsors of this calibre.”

The Coopers logo will be prominent on the front of the Reds’ playing shirt for the club’s remaining 11 games of the season, starting with Friday night’s home game against Melbourne Heart, as well during any finals matches.

Coopers Chairman and Marketing Director Glenn Cooper said: “It is going to be a win-win situation because they’re carrying our logo and that is just as important as us carrying their logo.

"The two brands are synonymous in South Australia, but the great part is we can take these brands interstate and I think the association is going to be perfect.

“We’re thrilled to be able to have the opportunity and I think this is going to be fantastic for both groups.”
