The Reds confirmed that forward George Blackwood fractured his collarbone on Friday night in a three-man penalty area pileup against Newcastle Jets.

Perenially injured Baba Diawara will also be touch and go for the knockout decider after renewing his acquaintance with the treatment table.

Diawara, making his first appearance of the season as a 68th minute subsitute, was seen limping from the pitch following the final whistle.

Adelaide said the 30-year-old Senegalese striker had a knee problem. He missed the start of the campaign after picking up a knock in a pre-season game against Melbourne Victory.

The Reds came from behind to draw 1-1 with the Jets but coach Marco Kurz was ropeable when they had a penalty appeal waved away in stoppage time.

Goalkeeper Glen Moss took out Blackwood who collected Daniel Georgievski in an ugly collision that sparked a flare up between the two teams.

The Reds looked good in the build-up, but dallied in possession and have struggled to fire in front of goal.
