Adelaide United welcomed Perth Glory to Coopers Stadium in The Remembrance Round. Both teams were coming off convincing wins last time out, and with top spot on the ladder up for grabs - resulting from Sydney’s draw last night - a crucial three points for both sides.
Adelaide United 0-2 Perth Glory
Pitch perfect for Sunday football in Adelaide, and Perth Glory took full advantage of the conditions.
Glory's discipline, organisation and their pressing game was something to behold, allowing no time on the ball for Adelaide, who did try to move the play about.
Tony Popovic's men were worthy winners on the day, with goals from Andy Keogh and Chris Ikonomidis enough to fire Perth two points clear at the top of the table.

ADELAIDE UNITED RATINGS
Paul Izzo - 6
Izzo was the busier of the two keepers, playing the ball out from the back, producing quality saves to keep the score line to just 2 goals.
Scott Galloway - 4
Pressed by Perth's forwards and struggled throughout the game. Too slow going forward down the right- hand side.
Jordan Elsey - 5
Had a decent game, looked solid, dealing with constant crosses and held his defensive line well.
Michael Jakobsen - 7
Solid at the back, commanding his area well, putting in timely challenges when needed.
Ryan Strain - 5
Slow to start, got turned by Joel Chianese too easily. Better later on in the game
Isaias Sanchez - 4
He made no real impact, dropping deep to pick up the ball, kept quiet by Perth’s constant pressing game.
Vince Lia - 3
Poor game from Lia, could not take control of the midfield, kept very quiet. Contribution was a yellow card. Should have been subbed earlier.
Mirko Boland - 5
Slow start, but grew into the game, won a couple of duels. His cross into the box led to a shout for a penalty after Shane Lowry handlled the ball. Suffered hamstring tightness late on and was subbed.
Craig Goodwin - 5

Produced his famous swinging crosses but overall Perth made sure he didn’t have the impact coach Marco Kurz was hoping for.
Ben Halloran - 4
A couple of good attacking runs inside the area and nice crosses. Notable action was when he closed down goalkeeper Liam Reddy to force a corner.
Apostolos Stamatelopoulos - 4
He took an awkward fall when trying to header the ball. Unable to stamp his authority up front.
SUBS:
Michael Marrone - 3
Came on for Galloway but made no impact down the right-side, off the pace.
Ryan Kitto - 5
Not given enough time when he came on the pitch but did hold up the ball well to keep the attacking momentum going late on.
Sub-Ken Ilso - 6
Looked lively when he took to the field for Boland. Always looking dangerous, beautiful flick for Halloran, made a good impact. Should have come on earlier. Made good runs into the box.
PERTH GLORY
Liam Reddy - 4
Struggled early on to distribute the ball out from his area on three occasions. Nearly getting caught by Halloran chasing him down and just a corner came from it which saved his blushes.
Dino Djulbic - 8
Comfortable in a back three, solid and workman like.
Shane Lowry - 8
Had a handball shout wave away from Chris Beath. Looked outside of the box. But another of the back three that looked in control.
Alex Grant - 7
Too quick and pacey, very strong when defending.
Jason Davidson - 8
Looked lively, solid in defence, produced a quality cross for Keogh. At home in a back three.
Neil Kilkenny - 7
Produced some delightful passes, hassling the midfield, pacey out-swinging crosses all day, thorn in the side of Adelaide.
Juande - 7
Another workman like performance, protecting the back three. Solid and discipline.
Ivan Franjic - 7
Very busy player, definitely dominating his side of the pitch, putting in some quality crosses for Keogh and Chianese.
Joel Chianese - 7
Making real quality runs inside the box. Hit the crossbar but he should off put it into the back of the net. Another shot wide but deemed he fouled Jakobsen. Good pace through-out the game.
Andy Keogh - 8

Missed three chances early on in the game. But he kept putting himself in the right position and was rewarded with the opening goal and nearly got a quick- fire brace but Izzo denied him with an excellent save. Dangerous all game.
Chris Ikonomidis - 6

Quiet day but was instructed to shut down Isaias, made good runs. Coolly finished from Ferreira unselfish pass to make it 2-0 to Perth.
SUBS:
Fabio Ferreira - 6
Made a massive statement when he came on. He pace down the right hand side and his unselfish pass to Ikonomidis. A few boo’s from the Adelaide fans.
Brandon Wilson - 5
On for Juande, slipped into defence without any fuss.
