Mirko Boland – 5.5

Boland was largely anonymous and didn’t do much on the ball or the ball. He was rightfully taken off by Kurz as he sought to get something from the game.

Isaías Sánchez – 6

The captain was to his own high standards, a disappointment. Ordinary in possession and could not track the runs of Bonevacia in defence as the now Australian citizen was regularly left chasing shadows.

George Blackwood – 6.5

Blackwood tried to get his team involved with decent hold up play but couldn’t get the final pass right to open the usually leaky Wanderers defence.

Craig Goodwin – 4.5

Another key player for United that had an off-day, with his penalty being saved by Janjetović. He could’ve possibly done more for spot-kick and tried too hard to redeem himself as he looked to do it all himself rather than trying to put his teammates in.

Ryan Kitto – 8

Kitto was one of the few bright lights in an otherwise dull display from United as he took his chance well and looked the most likely to make something happen.

Jordy Thomassen – 7

Thomassen offered an outlet for his team going forward and had a few shots that troubled Janjetović. He also won the dubious penalty for his team which might have changed the end result if Goodwin had scored.

SUBS

Ken Ilso – 6

Came on in the 72nd minute and couldn’t really do much to inspire his team.

Carlo Armiento – 6

Marco Kurz brought on Armiento quite late into the game and there wasn’t much of a chance to make an impact on the game.

Michael Marrone – 6

Much like Armiento, brought on far too late to make any significant difference.
