Inter striker Adriano's future will be decided next week, according to the player's agent Gilmar Rinaldi.
Rinaldi claimed that discussions will take place between representatives of Inter and Sao Paulo next week with the Campeonato Brasileiro champions keen to sign the striker next season.
The 25-year-old is in his homeland trying to recover his physical fitness at the invitation of the Brazilian club.
And Rinaldi, a former goalkeeper with Sao Paulo, believes Adriano`s future lies away from Italy.
"Sao Paulo is the best place for him because of their excellent structure," said Rinaldi. "I played here for six years and I know what I am talking about"
"Now I have to say there is no chance of a return. But it is clear that it is the player's desire and it could be a good solution to his health problems. So we have to join with the Italians to make the formalities."
