RAFIK Djebbour is aiming to fire AEK Athens to their first Super League title in 14 years after the capital club beat city rivals Panathinaikos to his signature for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old Algerian striker, who scored 14 goals in the Super League last season for Panionios, had been linked with a three million euro move to Benfica earlier in the summer but in the end the player opted to remain in Greece.
"I have come to AEK to win the title," Djebbour told AEK's official website.
"I am impatient to start playing and all I can think about at the moment is my first match.
"When I came to Greece my aim was to play for one of the big clubs at some point.
"It is very important for me to have joined AEK as it's a big step forward in my career. It is a great team with a long history and I hope to give my best to help the team achieve their goals."
