He is set to start when the Reds take on the SA State Team in the ‘Kick A Goal For Kids’ Charity Match at Hindmarsh Stadium.

The match will be Agostino‘s first hit out since the former Socceroo striker broke his foot in a training mishap at his previous club, German side TSV 1860 Munich back in April.

Having watched United’s Pre-Season Cup triumph from the sidelines, Agostino has been training with the main group for the past couple of days and cannot wait to play, especially with his new team.

“It’s going to be great. I’ve been in Adelaide for over two months but have only been training with the team fully for the past few days so I’m very excited to be able to have a kick again and be out on the pitch with my new club,” Agostino said.

“I don’t know if I’ll be in top form but it will be a start and I feel like I am improving every day so getting some game time tomorrow night will be excellent. I have been out for about four months, I almost feel like a teenager playing my first game so I’ll be very happy to come through the game unscathed.”

Adelaide United Coach Aurelio Vidmar goes into the Charity Match with close to a full list, with only strikers Nathan Burns and Bruce Djite unavailable through Olyroo duty. Former Young Socceroos Captain Shaun Ontong is in the squad for the first time, while Dez Giraldi and Diego have also been included after missing much of the Pre-Season Cup.

State Coach Joe Mullen is looking forward to the contest and says his players will be out to prove they can compete with South Australia’s Hyundai A-League team.

“All of the guys in the State Team are good players and they’ll be up against the best in the state so it will be a good chance to show what they’re made of and I’m confident they will do very well,” Mullen said.

“We won’t just be going out there to be on show but will be looking to win the game because these players have got pride and this is a good way for them to show it.”

All proceeds from the game will go to the Starlight Children’s Foundation and Camp Quality. While the match will be about raising funds for these two charities, Adelaide United’s focus will be on working towards Round 1 of the Hyundai A-League 2007/08 Season against Queensland Roar on August 25.

‘Kick A Goal For Kids’ will also feature a curtain raiser between the Merchants and Retailers of the Adelaide Produce Markets, with all participants in the curtain raiser paying $1,000 to play (all proceeds going to the two charities).

Everyone who comes to the game will have the chance to win a brand new Hyundai Getz (Permit #T07/3164).
