There will be nowhere to hide for those deemed to have hit the deck for no reason this season with players to be punished after the event.

The FFA's match review panel will examine any suspicious (or obvious) incidents which have a major impact on a game (eg penalty awarded or a player sent off).

Allsopp says the move is to be welcomed. He tells au.fourfourtwo.com: "I think it's a good move to be honest.

"It is a frustrating thing and it is something we have talked about at the club. Ernie (Merrick) doesn't accept diving.

"If you have a ban system for players then obviously missing two games is really going to hurt them."

Allsopp and his teammates are busy preparing for their opening A-League fixture against Central Coast Mariners and the striker can't wait to get started.

He said: "We're at home and you want to get off to a good start in front of your own fans. We're looking forward to it."

Before the action begins though the Victory players were on duty today at the club's Fan Fest at Luna Park.
