Aloisi appeared to fell Roar's Hyuk Su Seo with a dig to the ribs as they jostled for position in the Queensland penalty area as they waited for a corner to come in.

Hyuk scrambled back to his feet and the set piece came to nothing but Aloisi had escaped the wrath of the ref for the incident on Friday night.

Today though the FFA announced Aloisi would answer to a disciplinary hearing for the apparent foul.

Football Federation Australia today cited Wellington Phoenix player Ross Aloisi to appear before a disciplinary hearing on a charge of violent conduct," said an FFA statement.

"[The charge is] following an incident in the 2nd minute of Friday’s Round 7 Hyundai A-League match between Queensland Roar & Wellington Phoenix at Suncorp Stadium.

"Aloisi will answer the charge at 3pm (AEST) on Friday 12th October, 2007 at the Football Federation Australia Headquarters in Sydney."
