The 30-year-old former Lille and Nice man was signed by Roar almost four weeks ago but still hasn’t been permitted into the country.

The exciting attacking midfielder won’t be available for Roar’s Round One clash with Melbourne City on Friday night and potentially more games pending his visa being granted.

Bautheac comes with Roar already without Dane Ingham (international duty) and Thomas Kristensen (injury), while Brett Holman (calf) appears unlikely to face City.

“It’s disappointing because we signed him a long time ago now,” Aloisi said.

“It was about four weeks. I would love for his visa to finally arrive so he could come out here.

“He’s going to be exciting for us, but not only us, also the league. We just want him out here so he can start playing.”

Aloisi said he was eagerly awaiting good news on the Frenchman.

“I’m looking at my phone every single day to see the call or at least a message to say he’s got his visa and is on his flight,” he said.

“No updates… I’ve not received anything.”

Another foreign signing Aloisi will have available is Italian marquee Massimo Maccarone.

The former Middlesbrough striker has scored four goals in pre-season and Aloisi said he offered plenty to be excited about.

“Hopefully pre-season has shown we can expect quite a bit from him,” Aloisi said.

“No one will ever doubt his pedigree and what he’s achieved in his career.

“He’s looking really fit. He’s fitted in really well with the players, their understanding with the way he plays and his understanding of the way his teammates are playing now.

“He scores goals. But not only that, he also combines well for his teammates.”
