KEITH Andrews scored the decisive goal for MK Dons in a 3-2 victory at Stockport which clinched a Coca-Cola League Two automatic promotion place for Paul Ince's side.
Stockport opened the scoring in the 30th minute when Liam Dickinson pounced on an error by Danny Swailes before tucking a neat shot past goalkeeper Willy Gueret.
The hosts' joy was short-lived as the Dons hit back a minute later with a fine strike of their own as skipper Andrews rolled the ball into Mark Wright's path, and he curled home.
County substitute Adam Proudlock (58) then put Stockport back in front with his first touch, but less than a minute later the Dons levelled again as Alan Navarro (59) followed up on a parried shot to make it 2-2.
Andrews then stole the points for Ince's side when he smashed the ball past goalkeeper John Ruddy from close range to confirm his side's promotion.
Dean Keates' 29th-minute winner against Hereford at Edgar Street ensured Peterborough also clinched promotion to League One.
Rene Howe struck the only goal of the game in the 66th minute as Rochdale kept up the chase for the third place with a 1-0 win over Morecambe at Spotland.
Darlington's bid to reach the play-offs remains on track after they held rivals Chesterfield to a 1-1 draw at Saltergate as Tommy Wright (68) equalised Jamie Ward's 50th-minute goal.
Wycombe striker Scott McGleish hit a 78th-minute winner against Chester at Adams Park to keep his side's campaign to reach the play-offs on course.
Neil Roberts kept Wrexham's hopes of avoiding relegation alive as they battled to a 1-0 win over Notts County to leave them six points short of safety.
The Dragons' plight was not helped by Shrewsbury who showed little fight as they went down 3-1 to second-bottom Mansfield at Field Mill.
Shrewsbury had broken the deadlock in the second minute through Marc Pugh but a hat-trick from Michael Boulding (22, 37, 87) gave the Stags the points.
That result closed the gap on Dagenham to a point after they slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Rotherham.
A sixth-minute penalty from Mark Hudson and Danny Harrison's 41st-minute goal put the Millers 2-0 ahead while Ben Strevens (52) netted a consolation for the Daggers.
Bury claimed a 1-0 win over Macclesfield thanks to Elliott Bennett's (43) winner while goals from Neal Bishop (54) and Michael Leary (82) gave Barnet a 2-0 win over Accrington.
Elsewhere, Joe Colbeck's injury-time winner gave Bradford a 2-1 win over Grimsby after Peter Thorne (62) had cancelled out Peter Till's ninth-minute opener.
