Ange Postecoglou has started his first domestic Japanese J.League match in charge of Yokohama F. Marinos with a 1-1 away draw to Cerezo Osaka at Yanmar Stadium.
The former Socceroos boss stood down from the national team job after guiding Australia to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Marinos were on their way to a 1-0 victory courtesy of a 17th minute Ryosuke Yamanaka strike, however it was cancelled out with four minutes to go as the Cherry Blossoms hit back through Yoichiro Kakitani.

Postecoglou also elected to give Socceroo defender Milos Degenek 90 minutes as well as 40-year-old Japanese veteran Yuji Nakazawa lasting a full game.
There will be pressure on the 52-year-old this season after Yokohama failed to qualify for the Asian Champions League (ACL) last year.
Yokohama’s next game will be away to Kashiwa Reysol next week.
