Socceroos boss Ange Postecoglou has praised the nib Stadium surface and has pleaded for pitches across Australia to match it.
In the past, football pitches in Australia drew criticism from Postecoglou, and in light of the 2-0 victory over Iraq in Perth, the surface was in good shape.
The Socceroos travel to Abu Dhabi on Wednesday (1.30am AEST) to continue the final phase of World Cup qualification.
Subsequently Australia fly to Melbourne in October to Etihad Stadium for their next home game.
“We just need good pitches, we’ll play anywhere," Postecoglou said.
"I think it’s important we do move around and we’ve got a game in Melbourne coming up and I just hope the surface is good.
“The crowds are great here and around the country, but we’re going to face some hot conditions in Abu Dhabi and that’ll be an advantage to the opposition.
"I want to make sure we have an advantage here and that includes a good surface.
“It’s (nib Stadium) a great surface and you can see the difference it makes to our players. They enjoy playing, we’re a team who wants to move the ball and opposition around, we have good technical players and they need a good surface to do that.
"Especially at home, we’ve been here twice and the surface has been outstanding, from our perspective, it feels like a good place to play our games.”

The Socceroos leave Perth for UAE on Friday night. The Emiratis defeated Japan 2-1 in a game played simultaneously.
Goals from Tomi Juric and Massimo Luongo got Australia over the line against Iraq. Postecoglou also highlighted the dominating performances by Aaron Mooy, Tom Rogic and Mathew Leckie.
Mark Milligan was played as a centre-back in place for Matthew Spiranovic and despite the chances Iraq had in the first half, Postecoglou was confident for the game on Wednesday morning and reported a clean bill of health post game.
“I thought we were dominating the game, that was the message (half-time), just to keep going," he said.
"If teams are going to sit off us and sit back, that’s fine, but we’re going to make them work.
“They were working hard to try and stop us, they were running and clocking up the kilometres, but at some point we knew they’d run out of petrol because you can’t keep going at that pace. It wasn’t tense by us, we were quite comfortable.
“If anything five minutes before the end of the first half, we tried to force things a little bit to see whether we’d get a goal.
"At the beginning of the second half, we regained our composure and it wore them down.
“I was pleased with both, performance and the result. We knew they’d make it difficult for us and they did, but we were off to a really great start.”
Postecoglou also expressed excitement for the young players in the squad and believed they are still yet to reach their full potential.
“He (Leckie) should be heading into the next three or four years into the peak gears of his career," he said.
"You look at the majority of our team, apart from Mile (Jedinak) and Millsy (Milligan), all these guys have got this and the next World Cup to hit their peak.
“They’re all growing and becoming more confident, Mass (Luongo) again tonight showed what a quality player he is and Aaron was getting as many touches as he can on the ball and making sure we were ticking over.
“Then you have Tommy Rogic who’s a brilliant footballer. All these guys should have more levels in them, because they’re just beginning their international and club careers.”
